Well it's my turn in the shaping booth. I am having Jeff at soulcraft build me a long board. Like I said in a different thread the board will be a 5'6" with a twinzer fin set and a center fin so I will have different riding options. Here is the first pic to come in my blank is the third one down. Ill add more pics as they come in.I cant wait to see what Jeff comes up with for me.

Well you might have to wait till June but instead of looking at it you can take it for a spin. We are either bringing my boat or Tony's so catching a wave will not be a problem

just sent jeff a deposit for my own "big dumb board"

can't wait to see how it rides.
supposed to do 3 finboxes, one in the middle and 2 outers. will be fun to play with the difference between a single deep fin and then switch to 2 smaller outer fins..

also picked up a set of black stix for my jetty from jeff at corson's recommendation. come on spring and a HUGE shout out to jeff from soulcraft.. keep up the great work

Why not go with a twinzer set up plus the single long ?? It will give you more options and should not cost any extra. My Board went to paint so I should be getting some new pics soon.
Old     (sandm01)      Join Date: May 2010       02-04-2013, 6:41 AM Reply
duals will be fine. don't need the 4fin setup. I'll save that for the board that I want to progress on. this board is more for fun. and it should be...

Sue do you still have the Soulskimmer? Kristy is going to have Jeff make her a skim board before summer ( I’m hoping). She is curious about how you like it, and what length it is. Do you have any pics of it?

Tony I do have a Soulskimmer. Jeff and I named the board the first time I rode it at Camp Far West. I was surfing it and he was driving his Avy and Joe was taking pictures. We all started shouting out names for the board. I shouted Soulskimmer and it stuck. It's a really fun board. It has a small center fin and twinzer fins on the outside. I usually ride it w/ all 3 fins because it is faster that way. It spins like a top. I will get pictures for you when I get home. I think Kristy will love the feel. It's more floaty than a traditional skim and lively like a Jetty.

torn. have heard wax is messy. don't really want front traction, but think maybe rear pad and the rest wax?
Old     (h20king)      Join Date: Dec 2009       02-09-2013, 2:48 PM Reply
now you have me thinking a rear foot stop would be nice.Ill have Jeff send traction and add it later if I don't like the wax.
Old     (tonyv420)      Join Date: Jul 2007       02-09-2013, 3:23 PM Reply
Wax all the way, you’ll just have to put it in my boat so you don’t get wax on that pristine condition Falcon!
Old     (sandm01)      Join Date: May 2010       02-09-2013, 4:08 PM Reply
I'm thinking about rear traction and playing with wax on the rest. probably do the same thing, keep it off and try it once without..

just need a lesson on how to wax. wonder if jeff will hand deliver them

Wax brother....you'll never be in one place long enough to use a rear track pad....If you want I can have Mrs. Squid make you a sox or you can pick one up at the surfboard warehouse...
