Squid,
Went to buy a Substance and the sales rep from LF talked me into a Watson and new Transit. Evan almost talked me in to the Pure. Thanks to everyone at the CWB booth for all of your time. Really would like to try the Pure one day.
Old     (redv215)      Join Date: Mar 2005       01-30-2006, 7:31 PM Reply
Robert, if you want to try a pure, I have an 04 Pure 143. You can try it any time. Just let me know. It has 05 Zues' on it. It is my old board before I switched to the Marius and the new Zues'. I can't get rid of it though it is still too fun to ride.

Ed, I call it as I see it. You have been putting in time to get where your at now. Watching you and J-rod ride a longer line has now made me take a step back. I am now going to ride a longer line and I hope I can take the tricks I know now and land them at a longer line. I have been fighting the longer line for years. I just like how much better a long solid grab looks. Once again keep up the good work.
Old     (big_ed_x2)      Join Date: Jul 2004       01-31-2006, 9:05 PM Reply
I wish I put in the time that I really had time for,if you know what I mean.lol
truthfully,I haven't been riding as much as last year but usually get the delta butter and that always helps.

I'm glad to hear you stepping back some, that is really going to make your riding look GOOD.What were you thinking....75'-80'??
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       01-31-2006, 9:07 PM Reply
squid, trust me, a raley at 75' looks A LOT better than a raley at 55'.

you have the skills...don't be afraid to use them. and quit thinkin' so much! just freakin' ride! i don't know how many times i gotta tell you that crap!
Old     (twakess)      Join Date: Mar 2002       01-31-2006, 9:12 PM Reply
Ed, I am thinking 75 I just need to get the old school shorter line out of me. I know J-rod is at about 80, what are you at? Than we have that Freak Allen at 90 good god.
Old     (twakess)      Join Date: Mar 2002       01-31-2006, 9:16 PM Reply
Joe, yep I know you need to come back up here and kick my a$$ a few times. Joe and I don't think anymore I just ride.
Old     (big_ed_x2)      Join Date: Jul 2004       01-31-2006, 9:21 PM Reply
I was riding at 75' for a while but I have more fun at 80'.You got me all hyped now....I want to see you ride at the longer lines.
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       01-31-2006, 9:22 PM Reply
you already rip w/ a gang of spins and inverts...imagine how many more tricks you would have if you didn't switch boards and line length every 2 weeks...
Old     (twakess)      Join Date: Mar 2002       01-31-2006, 9:30 PM Reply
Yes Joe I know. Right now I am in the process of finding that board in the winter months and have made my mind up to ride at 75. Tried the Watson good pop but to slow. I will be trying a PS3 latter this week. Any input on that board. I keep going back to the Substance I heard that the PS3 is a substance tweaked out.
Old     (twakess)      Join Date: Mar 2002       01-31-2006, 9:35 PM Reply
Ed, I hope it will only take a month to get used to 75. I rode at 75 last spring but got frustrated that the tricks were not coming back fast enough. I do recall that the grabs and spins fell so much better. You could add that extra tweak to them.
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       01-31-2006, 9:46 PM Reply
i haven't ridden the ps3....yet! but for now, my board of choice (as it's been for a while now) is the cwb marius.

gotcha. works for me! of course, i've got superhuman strength, so the board's fine for me.

you must of gotten the superhuman strength from taking a mouth full of elsmore. You kinda have a green glow about you now come to think of it.

Ok Ed and Joe, rode 70 and 75 today. Grabs were clean and spins were nice. But I got my a$$ handed to me on a raily. Now I see why some of ya don't even want to try them.
