Just saw a news piece this evening about lakes across the U.S. getting infested with blue-green algae. I've never seen any in the lakes/rivers in the Central Texas area. This stuff is no joke and people and animals are getting very sick from it.

Its shut my parents lake down the last 3 summers. State tried to battle it and found put all they did was waste tax dollars and couldnt solve the issue. My parents have boated on it last 2 yrs..imagine having a place on a lake and going for the weekend without a boat?! Stupid

Its all over Kansas lakes in the summer. It has steadily gotten worse. Closed a lot of the lakes last two summers.
