Can anyone tell me the difference between a 1992 malibu skier and a 1992 malibu skier euro. I am looking to buy an older ski boat but know nothing about them

Marc,
I can not tell you much regarding the 92s besides they have wood in them.
In 93 the boats were all glass!

Deck and windshield are different. Same hull.

did the 92 skier come in an open bow? I think the euro did. I could be mistaken though. the hull is the same.

I believe in 92 the Skier was only a closed bow, you had to go to a Sunsetter to get the open bow.

agreed -- a friend of mine bought this as his first boat... that was the first thing that came off. he added a monster tower and auto ballast -- really nice wake for the money.. super roomy boat....

looks like

wood stringers can rot over time. the engine mounts directly to the stringers. pretty big job redoing them if they aren't in good shape.

to check the stringers, try to turn the bolts in the brackets that bolt to the floor. if they spin and don't tighten, you could have bad stringers.

Man you guys are great. Thanks for all the help. I have also found a couple of clean older model Supras. 1988 TS6M and 1990 TS6M. Anyone know about these boats?

great boats, i am partial to supra, but the malibu will have more room and throw a larger wake w/ the same amount of weight.... how much is your budget???
