Id say a 139 or maybe a 141 depending on the board. Sure a 143 is a bit more stable but when learning tricks Id want it a tad smaller. Im 5'11 160lbs and ride a 138 & 139 after having a 141.

U will be fine on a 140, but if it was me I would go up to a 142... It's all personal preference at a certain point.. I like a bit more surface area. I know u didn't ask, but maybe go with a continuous rocker for a more consistent pop while learning tricks. Just a suggestion.

I would look at the size chart provided by the manufacturer and make a judgement call from there.

Depends on the board you're looking to buy. Flex boards will ride a little small. Generally, it's recommended to go up 3cm on flex boards. I am 6'0" and I am riding a LF Hybrid 143.

What model is the Ronix you're riding? How does it feel to you? Is it awkward to control the board? Does it feel too big?

I am 6'6" 295lbs and I ride a Ronix Vault 143. When I have new riders on my boat that are your size I have them on a Liquid Force Trip 138, and I even have some guys on the boat at your size that ride my Hyperlite State 135. I'd think the 143 would be to big for you, I could ride the 138 if I wanted to, but I'd sacrifice due to my size.

I'd say 139 to 141 should be your range.I'm 5'6" and weigh 170. I ride a 141 and have no trouble spinning.

I don't understand why some people are scared of going to a Bigger board. I ride nothing less than a 143-146... If they made a 150, I would ride it. I'm 6' 195lbs. The added surface area gives u more pop. It doesn't make the board any harder to control in my opinion. Swing weight is minimal. If u look at the size of most pros, they are midgets. 5'5"-5'9" 140-170lbs avg. A 138 to Oli Derome is like a 148 to me. Go up a size, u won't regret it!

I agree. I don't understand the stigma against a larger board. I'm 193lbs 6' 2" or 6' 3" (depending on the measuring tape) and have ridden just about every board size they've made in recent years (even the "fish" series liquid force shortly produced). Although I couldn't tell a major difference in pop between a 137 and a 141, I did notice a huge difference in my stance. Since the 141 could allow my legs to be further apart, I felt like I had way more control and was much more comfortable. I think the more comfortable I felt, the more pop I got. Buy what feels comfortable even if it means you're not following the sizing charts 100%.
