Took me awhile to decide this year, but found myself wanting another Supra and just worked out the deal. I will post some pics of it once it comes in, but I am struggling with two color choices. I am also digging Boatmates new accented trailers where you can get the fenders painted an accent color. I have decided on that as well. What do you all think?

Black with a charcoal stripe (black Boatmate trailer with a charcoal accented fender and black wheels)

OR

Charcoal with a black stripe (black Boatmate trailer with a charcoal accented fender and black wheels)

Definitely the Black, the charcoal one looks too much like the 2007 GG edition.

Decisions, decisions...

I like Charcoal with Black Stripe, I think it will make the tower stand out. The stripe and tower will compliment each other as well since the tower will be black either way.

Black with charcoal stripe. I think it looks better and the resale will be better as well.

Black with charcoal stripe. Definitely makes the stripe pop better than the alternative & it will pull everything together nicely while on the trailer. Either way that boat is gonna cook in that hot summer sun.

Agree with most. Black with the charcoal stripe between those 2. The Contrast is better. Personally I would make the stripe white but that is just me. Your boats always look amazing so I am sure whatever yoiu end up with will look great. By the way, when are we going to see another murdered out Supra like your 07ish all black 22ssv? Loved that boat.

Yeah I had been leaning towards the charcoal with a black stripe to be different, but black is kind of my trademark and damn it looks good. I think the accented Boatmate trailer will set it off with a different look too.... Leaning back towards black with the charcoal stripe.... Thanks guys...

Brett,
One of these days I really want to murder one out with powder coated rubrails, Z5 frame, cleats, etc..... My wheels will be totally murdered this time though...

How can you really go wrong? I really like the charcoal with black stripe but I think the norm (me included as I have a black boat) would go with black, therefore resale would be easier. I love the way the black stripe and tower interact on your eyes. Just my 2 cents, not sure you can go wrong though either way. Really becoming a fan of what they are doing with their boats!

I love that tower on the Supras. Both look awesome but I think black with the charcoal stripe would be my pick. That charcoal probably wouldn't be too bad for the whole boat but I've seen some light gray boats and they just looked dirty instead of cool.

Does Skiers Choice offer metal flake? I would vote black with charcoal metal flake accent, if they don't offer maybe SC would custom order the flake color seeing as you order a new boat every year from them.

Congratulations on the new boat, looking forward to seeing the build pics.

I have never seen SC do a metal flake, but worth checking on it. That would be pretty cool look Travis.

I like the charcoal with the black stripe. However you are known for your black boats.

Yeah black with metal flake would be my first choice, second would be black with charcoal. If you go with the metal flake then you'd likely be best served to go with an all black trailer.

Not your color choice, but this is mine 2012 almost ready

ps doesn't matter which one you choose, you can't do wrong! with a 21V supra

I vote Black with gray stripe...I have an 06 Malibu mostly Black with light gray ....I don't think I have ever been out without at least one person telling me "nice boat"....
Last year a guy at the gas station wanted to know if the racks on the tower were for fishing poles, lol.

Naw - Once you go black you never go back.... Too bad there are not many girls on this board or they could confirm.... ok bad joke. I think Launch cause we need the extra storage space for weight and storage. Gonna stick with the Progressive tower. Mainly cause we want the Z5 and we want to do our own tower speakers.

Robby - Black is easy to keep clean. You just have to keep it clean... ha ha

All the extra votes for charcoal are making it tough.... I am leaning towards black now, but was leaning towards charcoal originally. After all is done, I don't think I can go wrong either way, but still a painful decision....

Sweet NAW. Congrats. Put up a pic of the mockup. I know you wont be able to see it with the S Bend tower, but still would like to see it.

They do have the s-bend tower on the color options page now. Must have put it up in the last couple days.

Very nice. I like that red stripe. Are you doing a two tone trailer too?
Old     (ripr)      Join Date: Mar 2002       02-19-2012, 10:30 AM Reply
I think I'm going to just do the standard trailer, no options. My boat stays on a lift, so doing up a trailer again is a waste for me. Cant wait to see yours though!

I like the black hull and charcoal stripe, but I would reaaaallly like it if you had both upper and lower stripe in charcoal with black hull

We just ordered a 21v with a build date of March 27th with this color scheme, two tone trailer with 18" wheels. Anyone know about how long it takes from the build date to when you take delivery?

Brandon that looks sweet. Lots of new 21V's being ordered!!
I would guess you will see it mid April with shipping and all.

Don't kid yourself, guy. You're going black w/ charcoal stripe!

Diggs, I know you've had a few of these new 21V's, what is the best way you have found to add weight under the playpen and front seats since the 1100 pound bag doesnt fit anymore?
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       02-19-2012, 7:29 PM Reply
Lead! It definitely likes the front weight. I add an extra 300lbs of lead strategically placed and it makes up for not being able to do the 1100 lb bag. Wake makers can also make you a custom bag that will get you more weight.
Old     (on_board_wakeboarding)      Join Date: Nov 2006       02-19-2012, 11:29 PM Reply
Brandon It takes 7 days to build the boat.
like Diggs says lead is the option , I've a 750 pnd sac in the front and lead under the seatings. it works great.

Brandon- That Britney and Black color combo looks sick!!

Naw and Brandon
How are you taking the screen shot of the mockup and posting it as an image?
Old     (ripr)      Join Date: Mar 2002       02-20-2012, 8:45 AM Reply
I couldn't figure out how to do it on my MacBook, so I did it on my PC.

Hit 'Print Scrn' button when you have it pulled up on your display.
Open up Microsoft Paint
Edit ---> Paste
Then, you can crop just the boat and put it in a new MS paint file and save it down and post it., or just post the whole screen shot (Like Brandon did). But, then you'd see all my porn sites minimized, and that would just be embarrassing.

Is the 750 in place of the 650 in the ski locker? I would like to avoid lead if possible, I would maybe go with 100lbs max.

Contact WakeMakers and have them make you a custom bag. I have been contemplating it myself. Maybe if we get enough of us, we can do a group buy????
Old     (bzubke1)      Join Date: Feb 2010       02-21-2012, 10:29 AM Reply
If there was enough space to stuff an extra 200-300 pounds in there I would seriously consider it. I haven't seen the stock ski locker sac filled on a 21v yet, is there much extra room to add more weight with a custom bag?
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       02-21-2012, 2:34 PM Reply
On the Launch yes you could get several hundred more lbs with a custom fit bag. With the Sunsport you would have to do a bow filler bag or lead....
Old     (bzubke1)      Join Date: Feb 2010       02-21-2012, 2:59 PM Reply
You wouldn't by chance have a pic of your stock bag filled in the ski locker?

mac users:

Command-shift-3 or command-shift-4. both take a screen shot and dump it on your desktop as "screen shot" or something. using 3 takes the whole screen, using 4 allows you to use the mouse to select a starting point, then dragging so that you can crop the screen.
