Hey all,

I've got a 92 Maristar 210, same hull as an X10. It has an open bow, center motorbox and a seat across the back. The rear seat holds the battery and is pretty small.

I would like to build a surf wake behind this boat. Is there anyone here using this model boat for wake surfing?

I need some recommendations on bags, pumps, installs, weight placement and boat speed. I don't want to do a permanent install, probably something that I can use and remove.

I'm 165 pounds and grew up surfing in Calif so could someone also recommend a board?

Thanks for the input,
Tim

have never surfed that boat, but the common practice is a whole lot of weight in the rear surf corner. Then spread weight along the surf side, then rear bench. 1500#'s of ballast is a good start with a bilge style pump that you can throw overboard, heavy dudes work well too and are easier to move around when dialing your wake in. 10 mph or so, when ever the wake looks good.

As for a board, cali seems to be a hot spot for wakesurfing so try to find a demo. There are a lot of different designs coming from the core smaller manufacturers. I surf on an old inland bluelake, and its solid all around board, but not super high performance.
