I will be in Havasu for the 11th-16th, and wanted to check out some local board shops while I'm there. Any info on where to go or not to go. Thanks a lot

There are a few shops on the walk by the London Bridge. There is one that is better than the others and I can't think of the name of it. The owner is a girl from Colorado. She moved to Havasu from Colorado to open the shop. The walk isn't that big, you will know which shop I'm talking about, it's obvious once you get there.

Wakeboarding is not that big around there. Mostly go fasts. And you'll see why when you get there. There are some places to ride and if you get up early you can hit some decent water.

I busted my prop when I was there and took it to a bunch of places trying to either get it fixed or get a new one and they all looked at me like I was from outer space. "We don't see many props like that around here". Everything is stern drive or jet drive and everyone is on the lake to drink and party. That's just the scene. Finally found a guy that could fix it and he had one old inboard prop up on the wall all dusty that just happened to be pretty close to what I was runnin.

Havasu is definitely different. I go down there once every month or so for work and it just is a small town that has a lake at the base of it. Simple as that, people are there to party when in season and there to chill out when its not.

Lol "different" is the word. They closed it down a few years ago from some nasty gunk growing in the water. It's usually hotter than hot there in the hot months. Everyone who boated was joking about all the skeevey people who go there and dip their "equipment" in the water and who knows what else took place and the mystery gunk. I'm not being a downer just not my scene. It's a GORGEOUS lake!

They dont close the lake just the channel, which is one of the most popular attractions of the lake, however you still have copper canyon, the sand bar and wherever else they find to party at. Its been years since I have been there but look forward to making the trip sometime soon. Any 18 year olds reading this that want to be my crew's DD while I'm down there give me a shout. From what I have seen the patrol looks to be in full effect
