Want input on anyone using this one. I tired a Clarion inteface adaptor but it is not compatible with my CMD4, have to have the CMD4A or CMD5 to use it so on to another alternative. This one is mentioned on a thread from March-April but no more input on how well it is workin for those using it. Want the ability to charge while hooked up. TKS

What Clarion iPod interface did you try?
The EA1251 is for the older Clarion units (XMD3, CMD4).
The EA1276 is for the newer Clarion units (CMD4A, CMD5).
I have the XMD3 and a EA1251 on order, I should be installing it this weekend.

I used the EA1276, spoke w/Clarion tech and he said the 1251 is 1st generation and some pod functions are not available so it was not well received. He even recommended the AUX input devices such as the PXPO1 so u can use the pod functions.

I use this and love it. All IPOD functions, runs from boat power, charges battery and uses sound through headunit.

Yeah, I have been told the same thing... EA1251 is older, you have to create playlists, limited display, etc.
It will work well for me, I'll use it like CD changer and keep my iPod stowed away and dry.
Maybe you should keep the EA1276 and buy a CMD5 instead?
You can find them on eBay for $250 delivered.
I was trying to go with the CMD5/EA1276, but the CMD5 don't fit under my dash.
I have the AUX input ready for friends to plug in their iPod's and ride to their favorite tunes.

I already have enough expenses so far this year and don't want to have to replace my head unit and sell it and all that. I will probably go with the PXPO1 as long as I don't get any negative feedback.

The AUX input with the PXPO1 or any connection cable works great!
