So... my soon to be ex-wife decided it was a great idea to "key" the gelcoat on my boat. Can I try to polish it out just like car paint? Or, is there another process or product that I need to use to try to make my baby look good again?

Any help would be awesome!

Is she still alive after that?

You should be ok with that. Get it done at a local shop. It can be done for less than $100, depending on the scope and time involved.

My father and I got some nasty scratches out of our boat by wet sanding it. It looked way better after we were done.
