Hi, I just started wake boarding a few years ago. Because of the lack of time I havn't gotten out to the lake much. I've gone out the last couple weekends but I had to stop after maybe 15 mins of rideing due to my hands hurting. I was just wondering if maybe I just have a crappy handle, or if there are some kind of gloves I can buy that would stop this.
Its really not fun having to stop every 15 mins for about an hour and wait for my hands to regain feeling.
Can anyone help?

You could wear gloves just about any type that can withstand getting wet would work. In fact you could even wear football recieving gloves if you really wanted to. They do sell water skiing glove for pretty cheap just check out your local boardshop or a sports authority or something. Your hands are being hurt most likely because of the grip on your handle. Or maybe the boat driver is jerking you around to much. lol

Don't wear gloves! It is more than twice as hard for your hands and underarms. I have tried it, because of the very cold weather in Denmark. Maybe your hands hurts because you are holding to tight on the handle. If it is a crappy handle, with a bad grip, you have to hold to tight on it. Go buy a propper wakeboard handle. You will hopefully feel the difference right a way.

Personally, I find that the soft handles wear my hands out faster than a rubber dot handle, like the Proline handle that I use. I have to hold on much tighter with the EVA style, which of course wears me out faster.

Thin(circumference) handles make my hands hurt and tire me out real quick. Compare your current handle with ones in the shops, works for me.

Check out the Foam Proline handles, Watson Liquid Force handle, and then the Byerly handle...... loved all of these.

let go of the handle with one hand and stick it in the water while you're on your board to get the blood flowing. Old water skiing trick. Other than that, buck up! Gloves are for sissies.

you know those old school things that you could squeeze to work on your grip. most of them had red handles. i'm gonna try those for fun to see if i can ride longer and harder.
