We run back heavy in the X-star to make it steep. Here is is....kickin! Steeper than most Xstar wakes. In each v-drive compartment is a 500 pounder, 120 in lead, and the stock ballast. So about 800 on both sides of the engine. 80 feet, 24mph, I'm 5-9". (Message edited by jarrod on July 26, 2009)

I won't even go unless there is more than 6000 pounds of ballast. I ride at 200 feet and at 42 mph.

I ride at 27.5-28 X-star Slammed with 4920lbs, on a 85ft rope. I tossed out 2 more feet of rope this week so I am 87ft but I think I am going to take it off and go back to 85 really no change in the wake.

Nick, isn't there a big difference in width there?, or does the supersport get too vert and that's where you find the vert with the x?

Darin, Both With a faster boat speed, that much weight, and a long line you dont have to compermise body position to get the speed you need to blast off the wake. Take something like a HS BS 5 for example, you really need to stand tall at the wake for that trick, fast boat, long line, you can blast it and not have to worry to much about insane line tension and body position. That being said, I do have to slow down a bit if I ride behind BU or SAN.

J-Rod that has to be far and away the biggest wake I've ever seen in a photograph, I can't imagine what it's like in person.
