Hey guys i'm looking at a 1996 Sky Sanger V210 for about 16K with about 250 hours on the motor and looking for opinions on this year of boat. I've researched that sangers put out a great wake but i could only find info on the new boats.

Thanks

The V210 hasn't changed hull since its inception in 95. The only changes I know of are interior in 02 and then again in 07. They are a great boat.

250 on the motor.... why a engine switch/rebuild... what are the boats hours?

250 hours is awefully low on a 96. At 22 hrs a years average this sounds fishy. I put 22 hrs on my boat in 3 good weekends. Have a dealer check the boat out because there may be mechanical problems like seals and gaskets from disuse if hours are true. If its a rebuild and a mechanic checks it out first go for it. I don't know about the price never researched sangers. looking at the boards there are lots of happy sanger owners. Good luck

i talked to the dealer today about the boat and they said an older couple traded the boat in since the block had been cracked due to not winterizing it, the dealer has replaced the motor with a mercruiser EFI motor with 290 hp, I asked about ballasts and there isn't any as well as no perfect pass and no tower speakers, basically the boat has 250 hours on it but the motor has 0 hours

Sounds like a great deal, I'm assuming there's a warranty on the new engine...

yeah there is a year warranty on the motor, but i'm in canada and the boat is in nevada...so i'd kinda be hooped if something went wrong, but that's the chance id have to take i guess

almost sounds like a no brainer -- boat is sharpe looking if it is the boat in Rick H's profile pic.. w/ that low of hrs, the interior should be in good shape....
