Has anyone done any type of quick release on the two supporting arm mounts instead of screwing them in every time?

anything like these of other?

Hand-Retractable Spring Plungers: Retract these plungers by pulling their handle, ring or knob; they also may be connected to a mechanism for automated operation. Use for fastening, positioning, latching and quick-disconnect applications.

No, but that is a helluva good idea. I'm going to have to make a trip to the hardware store to see what I can come up with.
