k, first let me start off with 3 years back, I almost drowned while riding a friends wakeboard on my first time out. It's taken me a good amount of grapes to get out and try to conquer my fear of hitting the water again like that and I'm getting fairly good and it.

I started trying to jump W2W my last trip out and couldn't do it. Came home and read up on here. I need progressive edge all the way to the wake, and to stand tall at the top. I'm really working on a progressive edge.. and I know I'm not getting it right since I'm losing line tension halfway to the wake almost every time. The 2 times I did have line pressure all the way to the wake, I also noticed alot more spray and I cleared the wake nicely.

I just can't seem to be consistant, and as the day progressed, I got tired and was not even coming close.

heres some vids of me today, trying again to clear the wake.. and I come close. What can I do to get that last 1foot of distance, more edge? Am I not standing up hard enough off the wake?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, and if anything you can get a good chuckle at my video attempts.

Just a questions for you. Not sure if it matters but here:

Can you "Ollie"?

I noticed a friend of mine who was having the same trouble. He was "standing tall" at the top of the wake but it wasn't popping him up. He learned to "pop" by "olliing" so he now pops/ollies at the top of the wake instead of "standing tall"

I'd say give it a try, but like I said in the beginning not sure if it matters. Sorry if it doesn't help.

your bent over at the waist, keep your back straight and lean against the rope.

Okay.
1. Keep your chest tall and handle in.
2. Try to turn your board more into a 90 degree angle at the wake, it will help you a lot.
3. Your absorbing (bending your knees) at the top of the wake, so do the opposite, when you get to the top of the wake extend your legs and PUSH!

Here is some info from Dave Briscoe's site. This is one of the easiest ways I was able to understand. I hope it works for you as well.
