Not to be greedy, but if you set one of us up with Palma to ride this week I think that we could celebrate...
JK - that would be a blast right now.

Sinko, I think I found an SST for you to demo. A buddy of mine has one and he's cool with letting you try it. Give me a call when the lakes open and we'll figure something out.

Siiiiick! Corey you're the man, and your friend is awesome for letting me take a few rips on the skate! I'll definitely get into touch with you when the last clear off.

Sinko,

For sure Andy!

Basically I ride an Integrity team now but the deck is just super light and I wanted to try and ride some heavier skates to see if I like them more; and since I'm really the only one that skates, or more specifically am the only one that owns a skate for that matter within the crew of people that I ride with, I haven't been too exposed to different boards outside of Integrity, chopped up HL scape, and some classy Neuston skates.

If anyone wants to ride a 05 Integrity skate, 140 Marius, 136 Shane, 139 Axis, a roam, or a phase five short surfboard let me know - I'm always down to help the cause

Sinko and Andy...

You guys made me come up with an idea...

When the weather gets nice, we should all list all of our equipment per say and then those who dont have a certain board, binding or skate, can ask someone who does own the board, binding and/or skate if they can demo it or give it a shot. it could essentially make demoing and promoting products much more easier for those who are interested in purchasing a product but dont have access or dont want to drive miles and miles to demo a product. And also...we could eventually set up a MN wakeboard/wakeboard equipment swap somewhere...what do you guys think?
Old     (andy_nintzel)      Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Minnesnowda       03-18-2008, 3:11 PM Reply
Great Idea Eder!

Thanks Andy, i thought so myself too! haha

Corey and _JB, i know you guys have the inns at the dealerships, maybe you guys can help out and set up the MN Wakeboard/Wakeboard equipment swap outside of the dealership and hence bring in more people who could in turn be interested in the purchase of equipment and or a boat? I think it would be really cool if it could be done!! Give it a shot guys!

Eder, I have to talk with some of the other guys at the shop, but I know that there has been some rather serious talks about doing a "Swap Meet" similar to that of a lot of the ski areas do in the fall.
I will keep everyone updated.

Alright, I know its only gonna hit 40 today but this pumped me up. We just got done putting the logos on this boat, it's going to the local LF rep and has 350 horsepower and 1500 lbs of ballast. She'll be hitting the mighty Mississippi as soon as the launch opens.

Steve, you are correct in the familiarity - there was a red and white one out last year.

Eder you should see it in person. It gets better and better...

Yeah, last years was red and black and the year prior was blue. The "suck my wake" kinda started as a joke but it was something that people were into. It actually makes me laugh a little when I fall and see that Suck My Wake decal coming at me.

Eder, this ones an X-2, we have a Hyperlite rep rocking the 40th Anniversary X-Star but that ones not going to stay in MN as he's not local.

corey, like i said on the phone: i'm gonna end up going out there with salt and an axe/sludge hammer and go to town on the ice at the Boom Island launch if the weather doesn't start turning around.

Have you checked the launch down by Ford Parkway? I think it might open up before the Boom Island one.

Either that or poach the E launch, just change your boat registration to someone you don't like

The new rep is Ross Olin, he used to be in sales at Mn Inboard. He's pretty cool, I think he and Jeff are pretty good friends. Jeff moved into a rep job with Bu.

WELL I THINK JAY WON!

Got a picture text from him today, I am pretty sure he is on the water in MN riding today. Freaking Crazy! It has to be so cold!

Jay we need a full report, where did you go? water temp?

Jay's crazy enough to do that, and that's SICK! It wasn't too bad outside today, if you rock a drysuit you might actually be able to ride more than a 15min set. I agree with Andy, definitely need some pics and the description.

Who's excited for 6" of snow tomorrow!!!

yep finally hit the water for the first time this season. here's some details. we went on the minnesota river down in bloomington. used the launch at 35W and 106th street. the air temp on the jeep was at 54 degrees, and the water temp was 39. it was pretty much glass everywhere. there wasn't much debrees in the water....just a few random sticks/small logs, and one floating ice chunk. we were rockin' out in the dry suits so it wasn't really that cold.

the only crappy thing that happened was since there aren't any docks in the water i had to walk out to mid thigh depth to get in the boat. while climbing into the bow my flippin' car keys fell out of the pocket of my sweat pants (which i was carrying in my arm). i immediately plunged back in the water to find them...only wearing shorts and a t-shirt. i spent about 5 minutes rummaging through the mucky water and ended up getting soaked from chin to toe. let me tell you about cold! after an hour i finally got back to normal body temp...only to get in and take my set (there were 5 of us who rode). it felt great to finally get back on a board. we also did some surfing too.

i think my buddy is going to email me some pics.

Anthony, wonderful, im sure you have had a wonderful time before up at the Moonlight bay, its a riot man! I love the Moonlight and the Wharf is kickass, when the fellas and i are feeling adventurous, we will take out my buddies pontoon, load it with coolers full of goodies and make the 40 min trek to The Manhattan Island. As of Zorbas, yes, there are two, the one i speak of is the one south of the Moonlight about a half a mile south of CNC Boatworks, the Mastercraft Dealer.

Jay, you are the man...i was sitting here working on my logic homework thinking... I'm gonna offer up $5 via paypal to the first person who jumps int the Minnesota waters and then i log on to read this crap! haha, i should of thought of that earlier and you would have been $5 richer! If you have room for a third soon, let me know, im good for gas, cleanup and some brews and i would LOVE to get out ASAP as most of my crew is off at college and wont be back till May-ish. You're the man bro!

no. never found 'em. i looked for like 5 minutes until my nads hurt so bad i couldn't stand it...also my hands were too numb that if i felt something i couldn't pick it up anyway. luckily i had another set in my jeep, so we called AAA to get the car unlocked.

Hmm, so it rained this afternoon - anyone else stoked on that or is it just me?

And I don't care what the news said, I had 68*F pegged on the car mirror when I drove down to Fairview at the UofMN today. All this heat might make a kid throw on some shorts and go do some outside activities!

Plus, the Twins won! All in all, in the words of one Ice Cube "I gotta say, today was a good day."

Hey, it's great to hear that there is some action going down in MN. I was talking to a guy on Thursday who said that he had also been wakeboarding (Manitoba) so that is pretty crazy too.
We just got snowed on last night so I'm not impressed but it gives me a chance to let my knee heal for the season.
I want to go to the PWT again this year. Last year was too much fun.
