Hey guys, Frances rose my lake level higher than it has ever been. I live on Lake Norman, which is bout 20 miles north of Charlotte, NC. Our lake is the biggest lake in NC with more shoreline than the entire coastline of NC(more than 600 miles). Anyways, being the biggest resevoir, the dam could not let any more water out because it would wash away homes on the lower 2 lakes below us and cause even more damage. My dad took these pictures while I was away at school!

normally we have to stand on the wood block, behind my Dad's legs, in order to reach the control for the lifts.

Hey Ringo,

Hope everything is ok. I live just outside downtown Orlando and our lake looks similar. How far are you from Lake Fontana? My in-laws just got a place 5 minutes from there. I'll be visiting quite often and was looking for someone to ride with. Sweet boat by the way.

Wow. That is some high water. Like Johnny said, a lot of lakes around here are the same - too full. I'm not riding on mine right now so as to not piss off the neighbors (small lake). It sucks, but what can you do? We are also dealing with a lot of bacteria in our lakes due to the storms. Also, you guys didn't have near the destruction from the winds that we had. You should feel lucky in that regard.

Actually, no offense but you sound a little spoiled. Look at that pad! I lived on a lake also when I grew up and you can't help but take it for granted.

Did you buy a new stick yet?
