so i normally ride in freshwater and for the first time today i rode in saltwater. for some reason it felt extremley diffrent. my board felt alot faster and all in all smoother in the salt.
has anyone else experianced this?

Well,

For one thing saltwater is significantly more buoyant than fresh, so I'd imagine that'd make a big difference to the feel-- sort of like the difference between warm and cold water, but on a much greater scale. (cold always feels 'harder' to me)

your board rides higher in salt water

more buoyant=board floats higher and less surface area touching water=faster and smoother.

riding salt is wierd when your used to fresh. the board feels different and the wake is smaller but harder
