So...i went down to the marina for a lovely set on a glassy fall day...turns out theres been a mink living in my boat...half eaten dead fish under the passenger seat & in the bow...the tarp is totally covered in excrement...the animal had deficated the inside of my ride...peed everywhere...poo'p on the they are stained....must have been living up inside my dash...& p'sd in the heater..cause it boat is like pig pen on charlie soon as you go near's stinkin discusting...& guess policy states...does not cover damage by "otters rodents or any other vermin...."
marina owner says he's never seen anything like it in 20 years....
so..i'm on my own to get it back to clean...i now have it up on a hoist...un tarped to air out...tarp has been scrubbed,,,im thinking of taking the tarp to the local laundry mat but pitty the fool who's after me cause that thing will ruin a washing machine...i willhave to take off the dash panel and see what the f'n thing has left me up in there....maybe bleach the carpets?? power wash them???
what are your thoughts???

Spray carpets with a cleaner. Then pressure wash several times. After that spray the carpet down with a mix of hot water and fabric softener. This should make it smell fresh again also fluffs up your carpet.

I would recommend this. It worked fairly well on cap pee and that stuff is gnasty. Might have to use it several times.

And if anyone out there is dealing with cigarette smoke this works wonders:

I had cats living in mine before I bought it. Smelled awful. Nature's Miracle from Petsmart knocked it right out.

I am very proud that (so far) no has suggested killing or shooting the animal. I am on another forum and the members have no respect for other life.
