Our amp got stolen a couple of weeks ago and we need to replace it soon so it's not silent on the boat! I believe we had this or something close to this before it was stolen:

http://marine.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=385

My question is do I replace it with that? or get 2 separate amps to power different things? I am not audio savvy at all so help me with whatever!

We have 2 JL tower speakers, 10 inch JL sub and 4 or 6 (I can't remember!) normal JL speakers inside.

I can get that M6600 for around 350 shipped which is where I'd like to stay price wise. Any help would be great and let me know if I missed info!

6 ch will cover all the boat speakers.

that leaves you the tower and the sub.
you might be able to do that with one 4 ch amp . wire the tower speakers normal, and bridge the sub. not sure if thats a good idea. its been a few years.

You may want to chat with David at Earmark Car Audio. He could give you the Pro's & Con's to a 1 vs. 2 amp setup. He carries a full line of JL Audio and is pretty competitive with pricing + good warranty and product support
