Please help! I am debating buying a 2000 escape lsv 23 but will not be able to ride before I buy. What have you heard or experienced about this wake, or potential wake. Right now all the boat has for any wake improvements is the wedge. How much water will it take to get a big wake or is that not possible with this boat?

That is a fantastic boat and was the WakeWorld ride from 2000 up until last year. With some large sacks on either side of the engine and one up front, along with the MLS, you'd have a great wake. That boat pulled many pro riders with no complaints. Let me know if you have any other questions.
it's possible to get a big wake out of the escape. the problem is that it's such a big boat, it needs a lot of weight to sink it. weigh it like dave said. the extra weight and the wedge should do just fine.
Mr Smart.. I feel you need to join the Malibu family!!! You know that you have a great service and Malibu family in your area.. I would go for the Bu... And Mr. Smart, I think you should make the "Smart" choice, I know you will...
The LSV is a great boat and has a really good wake. I have owned this boat and it performed great, it is also a good waterskiing wake when you empty the ballast and put the wedge up. Make sure you get a good tower for the boat, but as far as the wakeboard wake is concerned it was good with just the stock weight. It was way better than the mastercraft X30.
I have a 2000 escape lsv. It's a great boat. I load about 1000lbs in the rear, 500lbs center and 500lbs front, wedge down. The wake is big and rampy. Great boat, you will not be upset if you by it. look at my profile, i have a picture of it.
