Okay if it was ur choice and money wasn't a problem. Would u rather have a houseboat or a lake house?? I think it would be awesome to have a houseboat so u could always be out on the water but then i would keep my boat on a trailer where i lived so i could go to any lake i wanted!!

Lakehouse, hands down....love being on the water, but I'd prlly want to live on land. Still have a trailer tho so I could STILL take my boat ne where I wanted. Plus does it REALLY matter? As long as I'd be able to wakeboard....whocares!!!!!

Lake house all the way. Your own dock, patio that over looked your dock with a huge BBQ, outdoor furniture to lounge on while sipping on your cocktail from your outdoor bar. Such a house on a nice lake in California would cost you at least 3 to 5 million. I'm not talking the Delta either.

Definitely a House. You could probably turn it around for a profit should you ever want to sell it.

House, just for the resale. Not counting resale, houseboat as long as I didn't have to live in it.

Definately a house. I love wakeboarding more than anything, but you can't build a 50 track around a houseboat. Besides, you would be right on the water anyway, so you could still wakeboard any time you wanted to.

I would rather have a house. However, I have a houseboat, on a lake, an hour and fifteen minutes from home. There is nothing quite like taking it out in to some cove, with no other people around. Sleeping on the roof and waking up to glass all around. Jumping in the wakeboard boat and going.

Houseboats don't appreciate? Our family's houseboat has doubled in value in just the last six years. I'd choose houseboat. I like that every time we go up we can park in a different cove on the lake. For example, I spent the last 5 days on the houseboat and with temps in the 120s it was excellent that we were able to choose the spot that provided us with at least a little shade.

What kind of houseboat do you have that has doubled in six years? A friend of mine had the chance to buy a houseboat or a lake house on pickwick back in the 80's. Both right at $100,000, he bought the houseboat. 5 years later he sold the houseboat for $65,000, the same lake house was selling for over $200,000. I love houseboats and going out on them but I think I will stick with my lake house with inclosed boathouse and boatlift.

Hands down-Lake House. There is zero to compare, accept that one floats and one doesn't. Everything else is so far apart, it's not even fair to compare.

I used to live in a lake house, but with the lack of rain in Texas, it's more of a slimy-mud-that-smells-like-dead-fish house. I can still get the jet ski out of the lift for a pull, but the boats been moved to the garage indefinetely.
