I didn't get a chance to ride but I had to snap a few pics when I saw the conditions. No boats or waves for 20 miles in either direction. Water temp felt like about 47-50. Air temp was close to 70. (Message edited by otiswunguy on March 19, 2007)

Jason, It's about twenty minutes from the George. Many people stay at Crescent Bar over the weekend when there's a concert at the Gorge. You can also get behind the stage down on the river when you there.

Sweet!! I kiteboard, and to a kiteboarder, the Gorge is one of those places you must go ride, much like Powell is for wakeboarding. hope to make it up there this summer.

I've wakeboarder Crescent bar in the middle of spring with water temps in the high-40's trunking it, so I have a lot of respect for you guys braving it on a routine basis. Stupid glaciers.

Just to clarify, there seems to be a little confusion between Cliff & Jason G. Jason - It is quite a way from the Columbia Gorge (Cascade Locks, Hood River, Stevenson, The Dalles). There is a natural amphitheatre up here that we call the Gorge. Lots of big shows come up and play there every year and it is on the Columbia but if you were coming up to the NW to kiteboard, you would still be at least a couple hours from where those pictures were taken.

It was sunday. I also can't wait until memorial day. I would love to meet and hang out with some of you eastern washington riders. Cliff- let me know when you want to go east. I have the place to myself until memorial day. Its 2 1/2 hours from seattle. and there is plenty of room.

Our pictures were taken about 60-120 miles from each other (I am guessing). I wouldn't be surprised if the water all the way in between looked the same. Its amazing the contrast in the backgrounds

That'd be cool Mike. We'll be on a dark grey on light grey '07 LSV with a chrome titan 3 tower. If you see us stop by, say hi and have some kazi's daddio.
