I have a Yamaha FX140 waverunner. It is a 3 seater and weighs 800lbs. I have wakeboarded behind it before but it doesnt have the largest wake in the world. I know it is no boat but its all i got for now. Does anyone know of any tricks to make the wake bigger. Also what rope lengths should i use??

Wakeboarding behind a PWC sucks. There is now way to displace enough water to make a wake. Even if you could the wake would be like 1.5 ft wide.

Use sand bags to weight it down, 1500lbs of sand should do the job.

Bolt it to the tower of an x-star. 75-80 ft rope should work.

We used to own a Polaris PWC before our boat. If its all you got then its all you got! Try to make the best out of it, practice getting solid at riding switch, get good at spins, and then when you get the chance to ride behind a boat you will be able to some cool stuff...thats just my .02 take it for what its worth.

Riding behind a PWC blows but I think it is better than using a wench. It is good time to learn switch and mechanics of suface moves. It is much better than not riding at all.

Wakeskating behind a PWC is fun too, and skates are pretty affordable especially compared to Wakeboards and bindings.

Wakeskating is pretty fun behind a pwc. We got started off the back of my ski, then moved on to an inboard-outboard and now just bought an inboard. You'll see, just give it some time.

There's not much you can do for a bigger wake, but just work on your surface tricks and powerslides and ollie 180's and stuff. Also, check out picking up a wakeskate, you can find a decent one for pretty cheap. Seadoos are perfect for that cause you fall often and there's more than enough technical wakeskate tricks you can learn behind a PWC than you'll ever need.
