Ignore the lack of a PFD for a moment and check the spine in this video by Conrad Surfboards testing a prototype. If they could get that baby to break, you could get barrelled! :-)

Thanx for the video post, Jeff. I never could have figured out how to post that.

Actually we did get barrelled later that day. I landed my first "air barrel". Its just that...uhm ...the camera stopped working. :-) Please dont think that we have a magic Natique. This was a 47' yacht that we lucked out on. But there is a chance that we might be able to use it for a contest. We'll let you know.

Sorry we didnt have on our PFD's. We put them on later that day. Its just that the camera stopped working.

Also in W/W news, =Stripes= is the Wakesurfing Co. formerly known as Conrad Surfboards. So i guess now were as cool as Prince. As stated, we are in the R and D stages and you all are welcome to ride the prototypes. Just come by the factory and pick one up. For those of you who dont know where that is or you live too far away you can just tell us how you would imagine that they would ride. And maybe we'll have a imaginary best trick contest. Good luck!

47' seriously?!? That is wild. Must have been quite an ordeal to turn around and pick up the surfer each time haha

Hey Elliott, no we weren't on that trip, Chip just sent me the video. It really does look like they are haulin' doesn't it? I'd guess they were at 15+ also. I can't maintain a surf wake on my boat at that speed, but riding at 13-14 is really fun, the board loosens up and 3-4 inch fins almost snap free on turns and floaters. Plus you can hold lips much longer, like with a floater at 10.5 you have to snap back into the pocket pretty quickly, when I wasu traveling at 13-14, I could hold it to a count of 3! :-)

Hey Entrust, I'd agree it's steep, like a vert ramp! and your wake rocks. I do like the fact that they were able to get barrelled, I think that would be a cool feeling behind a boat to be tubed. I also think I kind of like the vert part of that wake - well I'd like to give it a try...with as long as the pocket is and the speed that it appears to be traveling, I can imagine that combined with the vert part of that "ramp" you could bust a 6 foot air over the tranny! :-) Can you imagine what that would feel like dropping back in? :-)

elliott nothing is up my ass, not into that sorry :-)

can't i state my opinion? i personally didn't think the wake was that good and i don't think i would like surfing it. i like my wake, i have it setup to my liking.

Jeff i would love to get barrelled behind a boat, if i could another foot or so on my wake it think it could happen but my wake is about mazed out, i don't think it could get any bigger :-) but hey maybe with another 1000# and another 2mph, maybe :-)

Hey entrust clothing (entrustclothing), Your wake is nice in that picture but do you have any other pics? Bro you have worn out that picture on many threads. Plus, you are totally crouched over and the picture was taken at the rub rail.

If you stood straight up your wake is like knee high which is not extremely impressive. The wake on the epics that Jeff Walker posted actually looks better to me but it is always hard to tell from a still photo.

I am not ripping on you but if your going to keep ripping on other peoples wakes I would like to see more pics from you.

Jeff, thanks for the post. I just downloaded quicktime and saw that chest high wake today. Wow! The power of that wave and the speed at which he is surfing is way beyond anything Ive seen so far. It IS soupy, but I have no doubts that it can be cleaned up with the right set-up.
