I am getting ready to drill my tower to wire my tower speakers and have a couple quick questions before I drill.
First, what is the best size step bit to use and how big of hole is best to drill? I will probably run either a 13/4 or 14/4 gauge wire. Worse case would be 2 runs of 13/2 wire. I just want to know how big to do the hole and then get grommets for the holes.
Second thing is, can I use tinned primary wire for the speakers? A few people have recommended tinned speaker wire, but I just wondered if a Tinned 14/4 wire would work just as well.
Thanks again for all the help.
OH... Still looking for some 0 awg power wire if anyone has some left over from old projects:-)

I ran tin coated speed wire to my wetsounds. I think it had five wires in one coating that was the size of 4 guage. Each wire was pretty small and individually coated like remote wire. Mad pulling the tower a breeze and I have had no issues with running wire that small. I am sure most will disagree but a very trusted stereo guy I use suggested it.

Where did you get the wire? Been looking for it for a couple days. Just got my Kicker kmt6's today and hopefully get them on this week. Just need those questions answered before I start.
