I am very curious how other boat crews operate. Lots of the time there is one guy who is fortunate enough to be able to afford a boat, and he takes out his family and friends. The boat owner has everything he /she needs for the family. My question is, should he also be the one to provide all the gear for the friends to ride. Jackets, gloves, rope, wakeboards, bindings. In the past, I have had almost everything we need, and I provide the boat, and the gas, and the cleanup(besides the basic wipe down). This was not to bad when the boat cost 7K, gas tank was 16 gallons for a full day, and we were learning. Now the boat cost 30K, the gas tank is 40 gallons for a full day, and my gear is getting abused from everyones use. I'm sure there will be some very different views on this, but it has been in the back of my mind for awhile now.
