New to the board. I did a lot of research on boats and used this board as a resource. So I thought I would post some pics of the new boat.

Ian, your pics didn't work but congrats on the new boat. I just got an 08 X15 as well. I switched up from a 06 X2 and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The wake is kickin. I have added 350 to each rear locker and 250 under each bow seat and have to say it is perfect. Again congrats on the new boat and keep me posted as to how you like it.

Great choice! There doesn't seem to be many X15 owners but it's an awesome boat.

Thanks everyone. It is a great boat. I don't see a lot of them out on the water but is only the beginning of the season. I just have this pic of the wake while we were trying wake surfing. Darn kid got up first try! This is with stock ballast and 3 adults and two small kids on the one side.

How many hours are on that beast? Is there no break in period for MasterCrafts?

Great Boat guys. After having an X-15 in the shop and spending some time looking over it and talking to the owner I agree that it is one of the best boats in the MC line that gets over looked due to the lack of pickle fork. Here are some pics of the one we worked on.

Nice X-15's. I looked at them at the boat show and I was impressed. They look roomy. How wide is the beam?
Side note: Those hollow points look sweet with the chrome grills.

Ben, that boat looks amazing.

Its a great boat. I am very happy with the boat. I looked at malibu, centurion, supra. I also looked into the xstar. I felt in the long run that the non pickle would stand the test of time from a style point of view longer and thought it drove better then the others and it fit what my family was going to be doing with it. All in all a great boat IMO. I really liked the malibu but I am 6-3 and I hit my head twice on the tower during the test drive. Just one of the reason I went with the mastercraft.

I too own an 08 X-15. This will be the first weekend in the water. I replaced my tower lights with speakers so if your interested in 2 MC tower lights I will let them go cheap.

Ian the illusion is a little low for my liking at times to, but it's nice to keep the tower up in the garage.

Im curious what the wake looks like when stock weighted. The boat looks great.

Where are the pics of a weighted sacked out X15?

Are there not any? Or are they too embarrassed to show them?

I know this is a crossover boat correct?

Most really serious wakeboarders who buy a MasterCraft go with the X-Star or the X-1, so that's probably why you don't hear much about it (or see any photos of it when it's really loaded down).

What do you mean by "crossover" boat? It certainly isn't designed to be a ski boat.

so the X15 is designed to be a core wakeboat? I didn't know that. I rode behind one once it wasnt an 08, and the wake was like a Prostar 190, then I don't it had ballast. Prove me wrong please, show me a wake pic weighted, I really like the space this boat has inside.

They're big boats and V-drive but I agree they're more of a crossover... just because it has an "X" in front doesn't make it a wakeboard boat, sure you get a tower and ballast but that doesn't mean much these days.

nautique sv-211 team is a "wakeboard" crossover but still a crossover... my with slipknot, the one I've been behind had stock ballast and it was a letdown

Had planned to go out this weekend but its supposed to rain. Next outing I'll take some wake pictures. I'll leave it up to the serious wakeboarders and the pros to "decide" if the wake is good, bad or ugly. Of all the things in the world one could be embarrassed about, the wake on a boat is not one of them.

Ian, great boat and great choice. You will not be disappointed with the wake. I think it is an underrated boat and wake...the storage in that boat is huge.

Ian it's a great boat and a hell of alot better looking than an X2 IMO.

Ian,

You looked at the exact same manufactures we did we could even could get the Centurion at below invoice but felt the MC was a better built boat and would hold up for a lot longer
