so i have high expectations to really lose some weight this summer..i'll be riding as much as possible but i need some advice on how to kick into a program..cardio..weights..what's the best route to go..help!! i don't want to be too worn out to ride, but i would love to lose about 30 pounds..anyone had any success over the summer?? i'm a grad student and the school year is not conducive for anything but books!! thanks!

I would say pilates for weightloss, they have videos and classes at gyms usually. That works for me and doesn't make you too tired. Rock climbing is also great excercise and uses similar muscles as wakeboarding, don't climb too much before you ride or your arms will feel like noodles!

check out the 'body for life' program. i did it a couple years ago & it worked great for me- and its only a 12 week program. i actually just checked the book out from my local library and got started on it at the beginning of the month (tryin to lose about 15 pounds). if you decide to do it, let me know.
