Stephen,
I own a '93, same hull. Great boat, BEST boat!! Only draw back is the space. Mine has 1300hrs. and still runs like new. Maintance is the only issue you need to look at. Mine goes in twice a yearonce for service, the other just for an oil change. When the kids were little the closed bow was no issue, now they are 6' and the boat is getting tight. We usualy go out with just four of us so no big deal, but if you plan on taking a large crew 6 max. with no room. For skiing this is the best hull ever made. Surfing is also great and for wakeboarding you will have to add about 1,000lbs. You can also go to
www.tmcowners.com for more info. It is a Mastercraft only site. You will see more 190's there and all will say it is a GREAT boat. It's all in your prospective though. For a starter boat or even your first, you will not be disappointed. I you don't mind me asking, what is the great deal? The boat has no wood in it. The stringers are glass and the floor is alumium.
Good luck, Richard
