Just kidding.... I've ridden Calero and Anderson. Neither are anything really special. If you can ride mornings mid-week, then they're both decent. Other than that they are usually packed full of people, rolled out and windy. Definitely not the choicest of places to ride in the bay area.

Although now that the delta is closed it might be the only 2 places. We'll see.

Is it true? Is the Delta really closing for the season. I haven't heard anything yet and tried to look it up online but could'nt find anything. Please tell me it's not true. Dam it! terrible snow season and now I'm hearing this.

Yep, true. All the Tahoe area lakes are closed too. Bummer.

Most of Nor*Cal has been devastated by the drought this year so yes the rumors are true.

Not to mention the lack of rain has allowed for saltwater intrusion from the bay into the delta so if you use your boat there make sure you flush it well.

Even when you WERE allowed to ride at Anderson and Calero, those places sucked bigtime! But now you can't even do that.

oh well.

We went to Anderson a week ago , we were planning on Coyote but it was closed because of low water.

We got there at like 9:00am and it was fine till about 3:00pm when the wind came up and it got crowded.

We've been at Anderson a few times and have no complaints other than chaos at the launch ramp.

Y'all joking around about closing of places? Looks like we'll be wakeboarding in front of pier 39 then.

The San Jose 3 are ok as long as it's mid week. The weekends during the summer...forget it unless you are looking to tube all day. It's a good place to get in some quick sets if you are close and can skip out of work ;-)
