I'm really confused about front flips. Not much on the net about it. Cut long story short I've been out injured. Tweaked both knees but better now. While out I tried a few front flips on a board without bindings. I looked at the kovac vid on YouTube which helped. Talked about two front flips. One a cartwheel the other tip to tail. Which works for what??? I'm at the stage of strapping my board on and going for it. I'm well aware like a raley trick its all about committing on this one. If its a wake to wake I presume the crashes and landings aren't gonna be too bad. I think the knee is ok but just a bit tentative right now. I will post a clip of one without bindings. I slam in quite hard. Plus I'm in my forays and should be playing gold I guess lol.
Please any help would be great from anyone that does them. I've seen some of the instructional a but I just need some one to one advice. Many thanks

that would be a heel side front flip and it looked really good .... most common problem with this trick is people do like half front flip and half tantrum, or a frantum, lol what they tell you to do to keep from frantruming is to try and pinch your shoulder together in front of you, doing this keeps your shoulders from opening up and letting the rotation slip into a tantrum. strap on the board and try it, should only take a few attempts and you will nail it

I say it looks good with no board. Strap it on and rock. I bet you land it 2nd try

ya that looked pretty good! just make sure that you take a hard raley edge into the wake, if you try to take it wake to wake then you wont have enough tension to pull you all the way around. when i first started these i tried to take them just wake to wake and i would end up doing the ugliest frantrum youve ever seen.
