Maybe 10 like last time. I think Kirby L. made it through the first heat also. There should be 10 riders going through to the next round.

I'm mixed up. I think 20 riders went through last time out of ten heats.

I think they went 20 to 10 to 4 in Ackworth. But that can all change depending on how many actual heats they had this time.
Old     (eas)      Join Date: Nov 2001       05-30-2008, 10:37 AM Reply
I think Ryan also won the Portland stop 2 years ago and finished 3rd overall last year.

This was his first week to ride after the hip injury before Acworth. He's def got an uphill battle after missing the first stop, but this kid seriously rips so if you haven't heard of him yet, he won't be a stranger for long.

Getting scores- Austin is setting up a text messaging deal with some people that may be the ticket for getting scores.

Seems like none of the big comp riders were there. I know all of the names of the qualifiers, but I didn't see Soven, Harf, Malinoski, Sharpe, etc... Was it the D.R.I.V.E. scoring or did they not enter, or will they be riding on day 2?

Trever, the top 16 pro men riders don't have to ride the qualifying round, they will all ride tomorrow.

Peter, tough day for the NorCal girls, Shawna, Danny & Raequel did not move on, Raequel tweeked a knee and had to take a run to the ER. It looks like no major damage.

Fred, thanks, but at this stage of the game all the heats are tough, but Alex quailfyed to ride the tour, so it's all good.

that must have been fun to see
Old     (kneeboarddad)      Join Date: Sep 2005       06-01-2008, 4:06 AM Reply
Cliff- a 100 just means he was placed 1st in every category FOR THAT HEAT. I'm not sure which rider you are talking about and that is good but all it means is no one in your heat beat you in any category. If you go out and throw some a railey, a 360 and a back flip and slide the slider but did better than everyone else in that heat you would get a 100. On the other hand you throw down a massive pass of bs 7's, pete roses, etc but get 2nd in to Philip in every category and you would score a 90.

Whenever you score a 100 in Pro Men though it probably was a pretty good run. Just wanted to clear up how the scoring works.
