Best resources for new riders??

hi all..i'm going into my second year of riding..we don't have a lot of warm weather here so i'm trying to make as much out of what we have as i can..my boyfriend is constantly pushing me to try more advanced things--i haven't even jumped a wake yet--and surprise! he's not the best teacher or most patient man on the planet is there a good dvd, magazine, something to follow for me to get as advanced as possible this summer? i was considering the book, or some subscription to keep up on..help ladies!!

yes i saw the book i think you can improve and know some tips!! i have like 1 year riding also and the first video i saw was the book! keep riding! =)
