Guys, New to wake boarding and am wanting a boat board, as well. I'm not wanting a beginner board and having to replace in a year or so. What are yalls opinions on the setup. I'm 5-10 and bigger. This is a 144 with the faction 11-12 boots. Any input would be appreciated..

Boat riding I'm assuming? I'm 6'2" 182 ish and rode the 144 and liked it behind boat. It got me through the basic inverts and 360s no problem before I hung it up due to shoulder issues. Just get some closed toed bindings and you'll be good to go. Here's me at a cable park on it although it's not the best cable board. Mine started showing serious signs of ware after only a few hits.

I have the 144, 6'2 210 and I would prob go smaller to 140. The 144 just seems like a huge board and is very comfy riding when it is rough out, which is when I mostly ride due to slalom when it is glass, but I think I would ride better with a smaller board.
