Neither! The shutter was set to 2 seconds with rear curtain for the strobes. This gave me enough time to reach over, click the shutter, hop into position, and then grind away.

Nice shots Randy, love the first one. Glad to see they got you credited for your picture too.

I wish I could find some time to go out and shoot some, but weddings and editing are keeping me busy. Looks like I may have to post some wedding pictures on here since it's all I'm having time to shoot right now lol. Maybe I'll find some time for the lake soon or at least go out and grab some nature shots or something

brad, 25mm, 5.6, 625.2 secs exposure. i wish i would've pulled the lens back more to 17mm...or maybe a wider lens.

Tahoe Timelapse - 20 mins

I have been seeing some pretty cool shooting stars, but that streak on the left is crazy.. not sure if that was a really big one or just some artifact from Nikon's Long Exposure Noise Reduction.

Very nice shots Kung Fu. I love the first one. Just curious as I've never done any shots like this, what type of settins do you use for these? How in the world do you get a 20 min elapse time? Also, ISO, flash, etc? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Lightpainting is awesome!

Since the shutter is open so long you can literally "paint in" the scene with an ordinary flashlight.

I bought the flash design from bludomain and then I practically put the pieces together. It's pretty simple to use. Blog is through WordPress and easy to use too.
