Malibu V-Ride

I just bought a 06 V-Ride 21ft this year. What is the difference between the V-Ride, VLX, and the VTX? If i put a lower pitch prop on would it help my hole shot? Thanks guys....

Vride is the vlx hull from 2004 and earlier. VLX has the new v25 wake hull and more ballast. The VTX is a new boat from malibu for 2007. It's basically a 20' version of the vlx. What prop do you have now, and what motor?

Yes it will help go to the malibu crew . com and they can tell you exactly what prop to get.

Nu Bu is correct, V-Ride is great ride, was on one this weeked, great boat. If you are going to sack it out more than one in the walkway a different prop would help on bow rise/planing. The older VLX/New V-Rides need weight in front to properly shape wake and cut bow rise.

I have the 21ft V-ride with the 320hp 5.7l. Stock prop. Hoping for more bottom end.

Get the ACME 1235.

I've read a bunch at the other site, and pretty much everyone says go with the ACME 1235. I don't even have my boat yet, but I'm thinking about getting one of those props for a spare.

I've got an older VLX with a 320 monsoon. With the stock prop (14 x 18 4-blade) and 2k ballast it took awhile to get on plane. I put an OJ 475 on it and it comes up better now with ballast than it did before empty. It also runs much smoother. The OJ prop was alot heavier duty than the stock. Very impressive all around. I bought it through a group buy on themalibucrew.com............

The OJ 475 is the same as the ACME 1235, spec wise that is. The OJ is a little thicker prop and has more rounded blades than the ACME.

What pich is the ACME 1235, or the OJ 475. diameter and pitch as per say a 13.5x16 1.5 is on my boat now.

The pitch is 14.5 and diameter is 14.25.
