haha just kidding! but wtf im impatient and want to know whats going on. the opening date keeps passing away and updates are hard to come bye. Whats the hold up? are we gonna see some cable riding before my predicted date?

Riken will be at WakeSport Ranch tomorrow to start Installing the Cable system.

Takes 4 to 6 weeks for the install to be complete.

I will start updating info in a couple weeks as Towers and such are completed.

The hold up was over 4 feet of limestone in one side of the lake, it put us months behind.

The limestone is gone and the project continues.

No problem Ryan, I understand, we all want to shred the park up, so I hear ya.

Benjamin, the towers will be 10 meters off the water, 32 feet.

I don't know what a meter is, but 32ft sounds good for air tricks!

Yeah, we'll need consistent updates!

10 meters = 32 feet.

Now that the install is starting I will have consistent updates.

Old     (innov8)      Join Date: May 2005       09-16-2009, 7:58 AM Reply
JR, mid to end of OCT would be the earliest.

We are having some delays with all this rain, it is slick as snot out there right now and that is not good for operating cranes.

Tony it is getting close bro, cant wait to have you out for some Testing/Shredding.

Update, we worked in the mud and got the first Tower up at WakeSport Ranch.

The plan is to complete this Tower and start on Tower 2 today.

Wow, the first evidence that this thing is actually for real and not just a big, nasty trick by Innov8!

Awesome man! Thanks for sharing. Keep the updates coming. Hopefully things will start coming together quickly now that the DFW monsoon is over.

Eubanks you went and jinxed it... either that or you haven't looked at the forecast lately. Round 12 of the September monsoon season starts tonight with a 90% chance of rain.

So this is going to be a 5 tower setup?

Our cable park (Kansas City) has only 4 towers. Will the extra tower make the corners less jerky?

Can't wait to come visit when you open! Is it going to be warm enough to ride then??? Any idea of what the season/calendar dates will be like?

Roadtrip!
Old     (innov8)      Join Date: May 2005       09-23-2009, 1:06 PM Reply
6 towers and yes the 6 tower systems are a lot less jerky, they are smooth in the corners.

We are going to start doing testing at the park in a few weeks.

I will keep everyone updated as far as when we will open to the public, looks like we will be open through Dec, this year and then open back up in March 2010, for the Grand Opening PARTY!!

Mike, from KC (Rixen) Is here now working along with Josh KC and Moe from Germany is here as well.

I didn't know Potter was helping you guys. He's one of the coolest people I know and really tears it up on the cable

Yes, Josh has been here for a couple weeks.

I agree Josh is very cool guy, we are stoked to have him here, along with Moritz Grotepass, another great guy from Germany, very knowledgeable guy, has built many Cable Parks.

I raced motorcycles at Motorsport Ranch which is connect to Wakesport Ranch. If it's anything like the road courses, should be good, quality stuff and a great time. I'm selling my race motorcycles and enclosed trailer so I'll miss seeing the place.

The excitement level of Cresson, TX will be jumping up quite a bit in my book. The only thing Cresson would ever do for me is stop me for 45 minutes waiting on the train everytime I went to Fort Worth.

Seriously though, looking good! Can't wait to hit it up when I get the chance to come back from college...if I even remember how to wakeboard.

benjamin - That could be a thought. Getting out of racing and trackdays totally. It's been an incredible 7 year stretch doing trackdays and racing but it's just time to move on. I don't have the desire anymore. I still like kneedragging around the track but not enough to keep my 06 GSXR750 race bike and enclosed trailer. I'll keep my GSXR600 street bike and it's set up with track/race suspension anyways so I get on the track at Cresson once or twice a year and not the 10-12 times per year I was doing. Besides, my new Moomba XLV is my first wake boat and I just got it 2 weeks ago.
