Hi all,

Does anyone has a photo of his flight control tower on which a light bar and tower speakers are mounted. I am interested in the way how you fixed the problem with the power/electric cable. Inside or outside the aluminium tube? Especially at the hinge, for folding down the tower.

Thanks

#1 I start by removing the tower and drilling out the base plate's and run the wire threw the deck and into the bottom leg's of the tower

If you need to drill threw the flat bar to get to the rear tower hoop. Thats a trick you can see here. Step by step.

On my tower I ran the power wires for the lighs up one leg (drivers side) and the speaker wire's up the other leg (passenger side)
Make sure you mount your bimini and know where to drill so the bimini dosent get in the way.
The pic's above the wire looks kinda funky bcause the tower is folded but when the tower is up the loom is nice and straight

I did the same thing Grant did, except I did it with the tower on. When you get under where the legs mount to the hull to drill that out, be careful of the falling debris (metal/fiberglass) this can easily get into your eyes (WEAR SAFETY GLASSES)if you do it the way I did.

I also ran the speaker wires up on one side (passenger)and the lights wiring up the opposite side of the tower(driver). This makes it easier for wiring and switches. Another reason is it will eliminate the possibility of any noise that could bleed into the speaker wires from the power wires. It is also alot easier to pull the wires because there is not a large bundle of different wires. Your holes will be smaller too.
