Rookie class

This is some rookie class. I don't remember one so strong. You got Adam E getting second and Austin Hair 5th at the Wake Games. Bryon Hutton and Danny Tholander making it through day one. Plus Nick Jones, Robbie Carter (taken down the first round with a nasty switch late alarm clock) and Brett Lee coming up. Kyle Alberts rode pro but will be Jr Men on PWT. Watch out for this guy.

Adam also made finals at Pan Am and Board Up Miami. Hair made finals at Pam Am and got 2nd place at one of the Australian Pro Tour Stops. Hair also has take down a few wakeskaiting championships this year (Australian Pro Tour Champion and Pan AM Champion.

Adam has gotten a lot of press but I haven't seen anything on these other guys. Alliance had an up and comers and none of these guys were in it. I hope we start seeing some coverage on them.

I watch all the guys you just talked about ride last weekend, except Robby Carter (sorry dude had to) you know your my boy. I agree with Roger. this class is stepping up. Austin rode with a concussion on Sunday from his Sat. ride. Kyle Alberts is just flat killing it (see his section in UpDog) Kyle told me he might ride Pro on the PWT this year. Kyle I think that's an excellent idea Just kidding bro, stoked on your riding this year. B-Hut is riding well as is Danny T. As soon as Nick Jones gets healed he well join the group. And Adam E. what can you say. Good luck the rest of the year to all these fine first year Pro's.

i was hangin out with kyle saturday night till like 4 in the morning (hahaha) and he said he is doing jr. mens for PWT ...but who knows if he will change his mind...

Kyle will ride Jr Men's this year.

I think it is really stupid to ride with a concussion. These dad's and mon's that put their kid's lives in danger so they can win are dangerous. I hope he is ok.

Natalie, Austin is over 18 and the decission was his. He was checked out by a doctor on Sat. night and had a "slight" concussion. And David Hair is not that kind of parent.

Actually, I am. Just kidding. Thanks Randy. I see where she is coming from and I understand what she is saying. I know parents can get carried away and I have probably done some things in the past I wouldn't agree with now.

But Randy is right, Austin is 19 and he made the decision. My input was not to ride. He made it based on several factors and I supported it. He is taking the week off to keep from any further damage. I do want to emphasize the importance of being safe. I would not suggest anyone ride with a concussion that is not doing this for a living and has not consulted with medical professionals.

And yes, these kids are killing it.

Sorry- I didn't mean to imply Mr Hair was a bad parent. I just see so many kids where their parents are out of control. There were a couple of little girls there like 10 and their parents are flying them down to Orlando every other week to train with a coach. I think that is out of control. It's wakeboarding for goodness sake.
