I'm in the market for a new boat. I've found the model I like, but I'm a little concerned about the color. I could order one, but I can get a better deal on the one he has in the shop. It's a Tige 20V, mostly white, but it has ORANGE accents. I know it's a hot color NOW, but will it eventually be the "Teal" of 1990? I plan on keeping whatever I buy for 15-20 years.

If you are going to keep the boat that long, that I would not worry about it at all. Let's say it is the Teal of the 1990's as you put it. What is the worst hit you'd take? 500 bucks maybe? FYI, I sold a teal Sport Nautique for basically what I paid for it after owning it for three years.

If you plan on keeping the boat that long. You better make sure YOU like the color. Don't worry about what every one else likes. Don't settle for a color just because it's a little less cost. Me personally I like the orange/white. That is a good looking boat IMO. It would look real sweet with a black tow vehicle.

Is there a wakeboat company out there that doesn't offer orange in there line-up for 2008? Maybe Nautique.

CC has Crush Orange and Thermal Yellow

If you like it, buy it. If you go to sell it down the road, dont worry about. Someone buying used should not be too picky. If you'll notice, you cant special order USED boats from any manufacturer.

Well if the color becomes the teal of the 90s keep it another 15 years and it will be in style like the browns and oranges of the 70s.

I think it is a good looking boat though and wouldn't hesitate because of the color.

I think it looks good also. I would not hesitate on that one.

I personally love the orange. I would'nt think that it would ever go out. I really don't see anything wrong with the Teal boats I see from the 90's. You don't see many of them and when you do they do catch your eye. I think they are cool

I would not spend that much scratch on a new boat and not like the color 100%, just to save a few bucks. If getting exactly what you want is gonna cost you more, but you plan on having it that long, then spend the extra money and get exactly what you want. In the long run you will be happier.

Go with your gut....not your wallet.
