Upnorth, if you ever destroy your boots I know a guy that has the ability to cut new heel toe pieces.

I know a few guys that have sworn by them for years and would rather ride them than anything ever invented. Its beyond me...

I still use Solbound, I have a couple pairs still. Would be willing to buy a couple more pairs if any one has some to get rid of.

Big Heavy-Is that the original owner, or someone that does it on there own? I know spare parts are hard to find! Not impossible but pretty hard! later dr

Beast is the guy that can make parts.

Everyone was riding them at WCC. Now everyone but Mike, Beast & Tim are rocking the Slingshot.

I was never a fan of the binding, but the owner is a cool guy that goes back to the begining of West Coast riding. He was very passionate about the sport and his visions. I know the guys that have rode them over the years swear by them. I know the last few times I talked with the owner he has wanted to bring them back, but insurance costs are holding him out. It will be intresting to see if all of the guys switch over to Slingshot as many of teh WCC guys have.

Mike Rogers is one of the most stand-up, passionate guys I have ever known when it comes to this sport.

It's a shame insurance and other factors limited his ability to keep Solbound going.

Not to mention a riding style that was/is as pure as it comes.

Can't imagine a more polar opposite style than the flex of a Solbound to the stiffness of a moon boot like Slingshot.

You should see all the mods they did to their boot Magellan. They removed the inner laces completely and when you ride as frequently as those guys the boots break in a ton and get pretty flexy. Nowhere near as flexy as a Solbound but they get pretty nice.

If I still rode a wakeboard, I'd rock nothing else than my Solbound Vandal boots.

HOLLA!!!

Jason, Solbounds or CD's? Unless solbounds = CD's?
Old     (snwmot)      Join Date: Sep 2006       10-13-2007, 1:27 PM Reply
dereck cook is still rockin the cd's he was telling me that they are super hard to find and he's worried he may have to find another binding soon.

Last time Aaron Aubrey stopped by, he was rocking Solbounds on both his boards. I loved them and they fit like no other. Just wished they had a softer footbed. Mike is cool and he still rides with family and friends.
