Mike Olson from KC Watersports Complex (America's #1 Wakeboard Cable Park on the planet earth) based in Kansas City opened up the cable park for some snowboard shred festing!! As far as I know, this is the first time this has EVER been done in the United States!! A handful of us lucky players had the unique opportunity to strap on our snowboards and hit all the rails that were frozen in the park. Keep an eye out there in the mag's and all the sites for more details and photos!! And if you have not made it out to KCW yet, get off ur a** and come check out what your missing this Spring/Summer!!

I TOTALLY would have thrown one off a kicker, but the kickers were frozen on the side of the lake so no go there, only rails. Air tricks were out of the question too since there was only about half an inch of snow on top of a complete sheet of ice, hence no edge. With enough snow tho, I can see it as a definite possibility.

If we make it back out, I will make sure to get some sort of kicker out there to throw some raleys... that would be a sick shot.

I think it was a one time deal since the weather has been so cold, etc... it just sorta worked out. The 40 degree weather we have and will have in the near future will probably melt all that pretty quick. However Wakeboard season is almost here so have your phone close!! Keep in touch!!

Nice.... looks like a blast. I think a Sesitec could make a killer cold weather set up.

I swear it felt cold enough to do it here in Orlando the past two weeks! That looks sweet but you can keep the cold weather....

AWESOME! Looks like a BLAST!

We have used the winch a bunch in Sota to hit handrails on our snow boards, works great, if we can get the winch to start in the cold ass weather.

^^^ I've always just stuck to the ghetto snowmobile/fourwheeler pull! For some reason i remember hearing that that Sesitec 2.0 in wisconsin was thinking about doing a snowboard function in the winter, because of it being at the base of a snow hill?

Whats up Chance!! I see your holding down KCDub for me. Living in Manhattan is going to SUCK this summer. I won't be cleared to ride till June and even then I won't get to go out there as much as I would like. Maybe once every few weeks. The snowboarding looked like a lot of fun. Todd's gone to the creek a few times this last few weeks. Having a torn ACL sucks. I was hoping to get a little snowboarding in this year but it looks like I'm going to have to wait till next year.

LUH-JIT!!!! You're the man Chance. Definitely good to see Mike allowing people to step out of the ordinary. Perez called me after it was done but I would've liked to come out and see that. Could've been cool. I just might've brought a snowboard just to get a lil riding in. I've only been to the creek three times but I'm stoked on snow right now. We need more snow!

I have been wondering how long this would take myself and always knew it would work. Great way to crosstrain in winter and possibly keep a cable open year round in the midwest. Not much different than a small ski hill with rope tows and rails. Pretty cool guys!

Check out the new video on Wake mag about the Sesitec 2.0 pulling people in winter on a killer park set up.
