they were claiming an 18" base on opening day. Had a couple friends go and they said no rocks sticking out which is good. We are supposed to get snow again tonight and tomorrow here in Denver. Got some yesterday but it didn't stick.
Yeah H2O it is definitely the white ribbon of death up there. However we got snow down here in Denver so they will most likely get more up there and they can keep pumping out the man made snow. They should have 2 lifts open by next weekend and 3-5 runs.
kate - i couldn't go last weekend, but will be up there either sat or sun this weekend (nothing like snow & 70 degree weather! lol). will you guys be up there? and congrats on the baby!
shane - it is time!! i definitely don't wanna use my good board til there's better snow coverage! haha
Thread Jack-Which is a better bet considering proximity to Denver and riding conditions for a beginner rider that only has one day to ride, A-Basin or Loveland? Thread Jack
second on loveland. depending on what time of the year you go, they have some good beginner and intermediate runs to practice on, plus you don't have to go over the pass, so it's a shorter drive.
Thanks for the Loveland advice. Rode there Sunday and it was exactly what I was looking for. Friendly people, short commute from the airport, short lift lines, etc.
