I ride a Trip 138 with the center fins removed. I like how loose it rides but sometimes it doesn't hold on a hard edge. I was thinkin about replacing the outer .7's with something like a 1 or 1.1 inch with a longer base. Anyone have any experience or suggestions for fin replacement with a six fin setup?

Idurnal,
It depends on what year the Trip is, but the late model ones will only take the LF .7" cupped fins. Chrome Dome Industries is working on making a fin that fits their hole pattern, so it would give riders more options. I have rode that board and currently Ride the LF Balance which is very similar. I ride just like you but with a 1.0" Collin Wright fin in the center so it has just a little bit more bite, but I can still easily do all of my surface tricks. Just my 2 cents.

Skiing made me board,

i had that same board i liked it without the middle fin. But i liked it much better with the middle fin. It holds and edge much better. You could always just get a smaller fin for the middle that way it would be a little bit slipprier but still hold and edge better than without a middle fin.
