I was hoping to get some advice on how I can make a monstrous wake behind this boat. Also, and this might sound foolish that I don't know, will buying a new fancy prop help?

Please forgive me for my lack of knowledge when it comes to the mechanics of, well, anything. I just know that I love wakeboarding and I'm hoping to pass this passion on to my 3 year old son.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have a boat with the same hull (81) and you can get a great wake by adding some 440 pound bags on either side of the engine, and a 270 in the ski locker under the bow. I would recommend adding too much weight in the rear or it will get so steep it'll be hard to ride.

Dont know about a "Monstrous" wake, but i had one in college (thank you Stanford Loans) and it will make a good wake.

I pulled the back seat, put a 600 Lb sack on the floor and had 6-45 LB bench press plates in the nose. Inverts and 360's were no problem behind it.

It had a 302 in it and had power to spare with a rider and 4 people in the boat. Didnt see a need to change the prop.

Yes a new prop will help. NettProps.com will get you going for about $350 I think the older Nauti prop is a RH 13x10.5 for 1:1trans is a ACME#911 (LH version is ACME#913 which is what I use). It rips out of the hole with 1500lbs+. Very accurate speed hold too. As good as it gets without speed control.

I have ridden behind one and will echo what is mentioned above. The wake doesn't get as big as a SN2001 hull, but it has a nice shape and it is firm.

the Acme 542 is a good choice, the other props listed above are for the 1-1/8" shaft & will not work for you. Yours has a 1" shaft. My father in law has a 78 & that's what we ride behind. With the 2 440's next to the motor box without weight up front is steep & hard to hit. I get more air without the weight in the back. We need to get a sack for the front.

Thanks everyone for all your help, I knew I could rely on wakeworlders to give me some solid advice.

Brian: That is EXACTLY the size of wake I am looking for. I would've never guessed that you want the majority of the weight in the front and not the back. Thanks.

Wakemikey and David: Thanks for all your help on props, I am clueless when it comes to that. The discussion references will really help!

Hey Brian, what speed and rope length are you riding at?

Actually, in the third pic I am at 65 feet. I was recovering from an ankle injury and taking it easy.
