How do you change out the ballast impeller on a ballast pump. If it makes a difference we have a MC X-45. Does anyone have a video by chance?

Its very easy. On the Jabsco there are 3 screws holding the face plate. Remove them then slide impeller off spindle and replace impeller and cover plate. If the impeller does not come out easily then you will have to remove the entire pump assembly ....disconnect power wires and remove 2 and loosen 2 pump bracket screws to remove. The impeller hub may be welded/melted to the motor spindle. Use a chisel and split the plastic impeller hub in 3 or 4 sections and pry off. Clean spindle and insert new impeller. I put a little antiseize on the spindle only. Glycerin on the impeller if you want to lube it
