I'm looking for a new board and found the 5'3" Fish on sale at Dicks's sporting goods for half off. Is this board worth it? I'm about 6'2" and around170lbs. I've started riding a HL Landlock which is getting boring really fast. I've tried a friend's Broadcast which was much better and also a Shred stixx. I'm wanting to find a board that I can start doing some tricks on but don't want to spend too much money. The sale price of the LF Fish is better than buying used but I don't want to waste money on a board that is no good. Any suggestions?

I tried the Fish and I did not think it was as good as my CWB Ride (which is our boat beginner board). It will not be any better than your Landlock. It is hard to find good, fun boards cheap.

Maybe look for a Triple X board. I think there was someone on the wakesurf forums here having some on sale.

Anybody know about the Triple X Nitro Pro X series boards? Or is the slayer or slasher better? I really want to find a new board soon that I can do some tricks on.

I have a fish and really like it! Im 5'11'' and 165. I think its a great board, pretty decent speed. I took the middle fin out and the speed increased a lot and it was much easier to break free and have fun on! IMHO definitely worth the price you found it at.

i love my tripleX boards. I ride the slayer, board is very fast and responsive. Great board for the intermediat to advanced riders. My fiance has the nitro. i hav e ridden it a few times. As a tri fin setup it is stable and very predictable board with some room for mistakes. Take the center fin off and you are ready to rock. All of the tripleX boards like a very active riding style and respond well with a little pumping. I have a few boards for sale if you get ahold of me we can talk about shipping you one.

I would classify the fish as a beginner board as well. Rock solid. I usually ride this board when I surf double up with kids on deck.
