Did you just buy this boat, I am actually looking into buying one, do you like this boat?

Heeb,

600 extra in the nose, 300 extra mid ship, stock front ballast, and 400 in each rear locker. If you have the wake plate set the plate at 3/4 up and ride at 24 to 24.5.

^thats how you do it^ if you want the big dog wake..

i switch between that and this, run stock ballast and 400-500 xtra up front and about 150 xtra each rear locker and the wake is sweet..

the second setup i listed is what i usually run.. its stock ballast plus lead bars hidden underneath the front seats and on the floor in the rear lockers.. depending on who or how many are going i will also add a couple sacks up front and one on the floor in the rear..

Heeb,
I don't even have my boat yet, I am going to be asking questions like crazy on here, it is a great resource. Let us know if you get it all dialed it, because I would love to know if that set up works. I pick my v215 up within the next two weeks.

Scott,
right now I am riding @ 65 ft and today just tried 21mph stock ballast do you think that is to short and what about the speed ,like I said before I am learning and really trying to clear the wake right now....Thanks
Old     (scott313)      Join Date: Jul 2006       05-29-2007, 8:38 PM Reply
That sounds about right. 65ft is good for learning wake to wake. You might be able to go a little slower, try just going fast enough to clean up the wake. I've been towing someone that's learning at 20mph and the wake is good.

Hey Scott one more thing to ask, I want to make sure Im on the right size board it is a 139 and I weigh about 135 to 140 right now and I have noticed in my pictures the rear part of the board is always low with the tip of the board very high any thoughts??
Old     (scott313)      Join Date: Jul 2006       05-30-2007, 8:20 AM Reply
The team 139 should be fine, that's actually the board I learned on. It sounds like you might have too much weight on your back leg, try evenly weighting both legs and see if that helps to get the tip of the board down.

Richard ,
Sweet pic thanks for the input

Heeb,

I run 2 50lbs sacs (sand) in each compartment 2 50lb by each battery, and the in each side of the front cushions, then a 85lbs water brink in the nose also L/C/R to clean up the wake. When I am not rusty I will fill up the triple ballast for an additional kick, when I have brass I will also fill up the extra 600lb sack and put it by the drivers seat. I never touched my wakeplate.

I did get alot of advice from Rich, Dra and others last year when playing with my set-up.

I normally ride at 70-75ft, 22.5-23.5 depending on the day. Prop is repitched also.

I will try and get some pics this weekend.

It looks like the OP got his answers, so without starting a new thread, can anyone tell me what the stock ballast was on 00-04 Sanger V210?

Also, how does the interior space/storage compare to an older VLX?

Thanks, Patrick
