Considering this 04 Premier (2nd hand) which has a slider base and going to be trying it out in the week. Only problem is that its got this long scratch or crack in the base.

I've had two opinions so far, one reckons its a scratch in that rubbery slider material and it hasn't caused any structural damage. Another reckons its a crack and we should just forget about the board.

Take a look at the pictures in the following links and let me know what you think. Apologise about the quality of the pictures, pretty hard to get a good angle + shot of this affected area especially with the dull surface contrast & my dinky P&S camera.

Ok, will try and get another picture of it. The funny thing is that it sort of starts around the tip vents without really breaking the surface, just like an indentation, then halfway down it breaks and you see what you see above.

Well, more think its a crack. Might bring it to the local HL rep and see what he thinks and then go from there too.

Yeah the wavyness at the end makes it look like a crack.

If you look close, it looks like you can even see staples going across the crack, under the base. Maybe thats why it was a factory second.

it could also be a crease in the graphics sheet.
